Camelina oil

Ölmühle an der Havel

Rich in unsaturated fats, camelina oil is one of Micha Schäfer’s favourites – and not just for its health benefits. He likes to use it in tomato-based dishes, with asparagus or fish. Whenever a recipe calls for oil, he makes sure it’s from Ölmühle an der Havel. With their rigorous, quality-driven approach, Ölmühle an der Havel produce only small batches from the highest quality ingredients, sourced directly from farmers in their vicinity.

Ölmühle an der Havel
Ölmühle an der Havel is our trusted, regional specialist for cold-pressed and unfiltered organic oils. Their artisanal products are made in small batches from unpeeled seeds such as golden flax, mustard, gold of pleasure, hemp, blue poppy, pumpkin, dragon's head and sunflowers, all of which are sourced from organic farmers in the Fläming, Brandenburg and the neighboring regions. First, the seeds are gently dried at 50°C, then pressed below 42°C. If you want to experience the whole thing for yourself, be sure to drop by their manufactory in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Saturdays between 12 and 16 o'clock where you’ll be able to try and buy their freshly pressed golden flax oil.
