Torben Giehler is one of our favourite Berlin artists – in 2020 we showed several of his works in our Friedrichstraße windows. Here’s your opportunity to get your hands on a high quality print of one of his trademark images. This is what Torben himself has to say about its meaning and history:

“For 20 years I have been painting the Matterhorn, the most iconic mountain of the Swiss Alps. Painting it repeatedly, it gives me the freedom to move away from its majestic form and explore its surface and translate it into paint and texture.Through my paintings I am trying to understand and process our increasingly complex but also exciting digital world. The multi-layered, transparent acrylic layers create pictorial abstract spaces in which one can navigate autonomously, as in a virtual reality simulation.”
