Extra Virgin Olive oil

Valentini

The Azienda Agricola Valentini’s olive oil is robust and puristic – and rightly labelled a “jewel” by some connoisseurs. Under Camillo Valentini, the Azienda first came to prominence when it won an award for its vinegar at the Abruzzo Regional Agricultural Exhibition in 1868. In 1899, at the Expo in Nice, the Azienda finally received a well-deserved certificate of honor for its olive oil. And they still live up to it today, as you can now see (and taste) for yourself!

Valentini
The Valentini estate is located in the small village of Loreto Aprutino, in the hilly area of Pescara near the Italian Adriatic Sea. There, the family has been growing olives and cereals, raising livestock and producing vinegar since the 17th century. Today, a good 63 hectares of the 200 hectares total go to viticulture. The latter has been the Valentini family’s claim to fame ever since Edoardo Valentini became the first to bottle Montepulciano d’Abruzzo back in 1965 and to declare it as such, prefiguring its DOC designation. Today's winery owner Francesco Paolo Valentini works entirely in the spirit of his father's puristic approach and promotes natural farming without artificial fertilizers or chemicals.    P.S. The Valentini wine estate is not open to the public. Of course you can try your luck and write a letter to Francesco Paolo Valentini. Don’t even go looking for a homepage – typing the name into the search engine of your choice brings up an "Azienda Agricola Valentini"  located in the Maremma which has nothing to do with the "Lord of Abruzzo".
