At Nobelhart we use Erning’s fermentation crocks to create our homemade sauerkraut as well as other fermented delicacies – and, of course, to mature the unpasteurised butter we make from Erdhof Seewalde’s cream. But you, too, should consider one of these handcrafted crocks if you’ve ever felt like making your own fermented cabbage, carrots or pickles. The potters at Erning & Söhne always recommend using the 3 liter crock, as you only need to fill it up by half if you use stones to press down on its contents.
The crocks are manufactured by hand and over open fire. Each crock is a unique item and therefore, we ask for your understanding that we can’t exchange ceramics due to aesthetic characteristics.
