Hohenmoorer Messermanufaktur

Our new knife fuses the expertise and aesthetics of two masters of their respective crafts, making for a singular statement piece that is as practical as it is full of character.

The design is by trained cabinet maker and industrial designer Michael Sans, who already did Nobelhart’s interior. The knives were hand-forged by renowned knifemaker and bladesmith Ulrich Henniker, better known as the hands and brains behind the Hohenmoorer Messermanufaktur. Thanks to this one-of-a-kind collaboration, our Nobelhart knives are absolutely unique both in terms of look and quality. The wood is treated with hard oil which guarantees stability, yet allows for the formation of a beautiful patina over time. And that’s just as we wanted it, because we love highly individual pieces that lay bare the intricate interplay of natural materials with superior craftsmanship.

Please note that knife production might take one month.

1 knife

(€490.00 per 1pc)

One for all.

What is it for? To say it in the words of our sous chef Thomas Hedde-Leitner: “It’s for absolutely everything. It’s just an amazing knife.” It’s handy enough to use at the dinner table while its impeccably sharp, unalloyed steel blade makes it a true kitchen allrounder.

Of course, you’ll want to keep your knife beautiful and functional for a long time. It is of particular importance never to leave the knife in water, for example to soften dried food residues.  The knife should be rinsed immediately after use and dried off. This will help you avoid rust on the blade and moisture damage to the handle.
