If you’ve been to the restaurant, there’s a good chance you’ve already had our onion jam with chamomile – it’s one of Micha’s all-season staples. For good reason, too: creamy, lightly sour buttermilk beautifully compliments the taste of glazed onion. Since we don’t want to hold back on nature’s endless opportunities, we produce the jam in two flavours.
Either with a note of ethereal chamomile to keep things interesting or with the light sweetness of spring elderflower.
Going with the seasons availabilities might vary.
For the full flavour experience, we recommend to gently warm up to jam before eating. And it’s more versatile than you might think: try it on a good sourdough bread, as a condiment for meat or fish or add some water and use it as a base for onion soup.
